David Evans, 75, Salvisa, KY, husband of Brenda Jo Whalen Evans, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Baptist Health, Lexington. Born June 16, 1946, in Hamilton, OH, he was the son of the late Non and Viola Martin Evans, Sr. He was a KY Colonel and a member at Bethel Baptist Church. A Master Electrician and the Owner and Operator of Evan’s Heating and Air. Other survivors include: one daughter: Denise L. (Ernie) Newton of Salvisa; one sister: Sylvia Garrett of Versailles, KY and one brother: Non (Penny) Evans, Jr. of Versailles, KY; Grandchildren: Emily Kaye Miller (Addam) Gooch; Beth Renae (Tony) Rosenbarger; Great Grandchildren: Jaxen David Gooch, Addley Kaye Gooch, Kinley Raye Gooch, Ryleigh Kate Rosenbarger and Kysen Rhett Rosenbarger. He was preceded in death by three siblings: Reuben Evans, Betty (Evans) Morrison, and Lorraine (Evans) Waters. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2pm at Ransdell’s by Stephen Brogli and Terry Morrison. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 10 am - 2 pm Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers: Ernie Newton, Jr., Tony Rosenbarger, Addam Gooch, Jaxen Gooch, Nick and Marshall Thompson. Memorials are suggested to: Kidney Foundation, Salvation Army, or Gideon Bibles.
