Obituary of Mary Bell Montgomery

Mary Bell Hill Montgomery, 78, widow of Richard Allen (T-bone) Montgomery, died Thur., Feb. 3, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born Oct. 17, 1943, Eldorado, IL, she was the daughter of the late  Billy Worth and Elizabeth Frances Roberts Hill. She worked 17 years as a CNA at Heritage Hall and Harrodsburg Healthcare, and was a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church, where she had previously taught Sunday School. Mary had served as a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop Leader and had been active in the Mercer County 4-H Council and Fort Harrod Area 4-H Council. Survivors include: two daughters, Karen Frances (Terry) Weber of Salvisa, KY, and Mary Lynn (Mark) Gray of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother, Bill (Cheryl) Hill, Versailles , KY; three grandchildren, Zachary (Brittney) Gray, Radford, VA, Lynzie (Josh) Karsner, Bowling Green, and Ethan Gray, Harrodsburg; one great grandchild, Grayson Karsner; nieces, Andrea Whitenack and Micki Hill; great nephew and nieces, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Katie Lynne Karsner. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by George Dye. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 2 PM, Monday, at Ransdell’s. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. NOTE: PLEASE OBSERVE COVID PROTOCOL OF MASKS & DISTANCING. Pallbearers are: Terry Weber, Mark Gray, Tom Burklow, Zachary Gray, Ethan Gray, and Josh Karsner. Honorary Pallbearers: Roy Sallee, Raymond Freeman, and Ralph Morris.
