Obituary of Alfia Cristina Geraci

Alfia “Alfreda” Cristina (Occhiuto) Geraci, age 86, 731 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born July 4, 1935, in Acquadolci, Sicily, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Giuseppa (Musara) Occhiuto. She was married to the late Gaetano “Tom” Geraci for 51 years and used her talents as a devoted homemaker, an expert seamstress, and an exceptional cook. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother to her family and others, generous member of the community, perpetual child of God, and proud member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughter: Ursola (Jack) Rose of Lexington, KY; and three sons: Sandy (Maria) Geraci of Cleveland, OH, Carmen Geraci of Lexington, KY, and Joseph Geraci of Louisville, KY; three sisters: Grace Pinzone, Pina Zingale, and Anna Fatica, of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren: Tommy (Danna), Jimmy (Kayla), Isabella, and Gray Geraci, Josie and Mia Rose; great- grandchildren Olivia, Sam, Joey, Luca, and Eliana Geraci. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 1 PM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, by Father Albert DeGiacomo, and entombment will follow at the Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Jessamine County, KY. Visitation will be 10 AM, Monday, St. Andrew. Pallbearers are Sandy Geraci, Carmen Geraci, Joseph Geraci, Jack Rose, Tommy Geraci, and Jimmy Geraci. Visitation will be Monday (February 14) 10 AM -1 PM prior to Service at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
