Mrs. Searcy wore many hats over the course of her life. She worked in the music publishing business and for the Lexington Herald and Cincinnati Enquirer newspapers. She was a dedicated and beloved elementary school teacher at Junction City Elementary School and eventuallyfound her true calling as a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service, from which she retired in 2006. Glenna was an avid reader and accomplished piano player, a great cook, fantastic grandmother who absolutely doted upon her grandchildren as she loved each of them to the moon and back, and she enjoyed sunny afternoons on Herrington Lake. She grew up in Elliot County and was fiercely proud of her mountain heritage and extended family in the hills of Eastern Kentucky. Glenna is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jack T. Searcy, Jr., her sons Jeff (Melody) Searcy of Noblesville, Indiana, Chris (Joanna) Searcy of Danville, Kentucky, John (Patsy) Searcy of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Jack Tucker Searcy III of Danville, Kentucky; grandchildren Brandi Settles of Lexington, Kentucky, Maxwell (McKenna) Searcy of Danville, Kentucky, Wyatt Searcy of Noblesville, Indiana, Lilly Searcy of Lexington, Kentucky, Haley (Michael) Butts of Wiesbaden, Germany, Hannah Searcy of Lexington, Kentucky, Ellie Searcy of Danville, Kentucky; sister Linda S.
