Opal Mae Peyton, 81, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Virgil Peyton, died Monday, February 21, 2022, at her home in Harrodsburg. Born March 14, 1940, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Felix Nathaniel and Mattie (Sagracy) Phillips. Opal was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, and was an active member of the Whispering Pines Community in Florida. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts and the Hallmark channel. Survivors include: a daughter: Shelia (Rick) Conrad and two sons: Steve (Karen) Butler of Harrodsburg, KY and Michael Wayne Butler of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother: David Goodlett; two sisters, Rachel & Emma Dale Goodlett; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Raley & Karen Goodlett; six grand children: Kyle (Shae) Butler; Alyssa (Lee) Williams, Levi (Anastasia) Butler, Chase Conrad, Stephen (Kelsey) Conrad and Tyler Conrad; seven great grandchildren, Ashton Butler, Addyson Wilson Williams, Collier Reed Butler, Kyndal Ryan Butler, Maxon Butler, Katerina Conrad and Madison Conrad. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Thursday; February 24 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY, with funeral services at 6 pm conducted by Br. Lynn Releford. Memorials are suggested to: Christian Life Center 108 S Main Street Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
