Obituary of John William Elliott

John William “Bill” Elliott, 84, Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Joyce Ellis Elliott, died Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born May 17, 1937, in Mercer Co., KY, he was the son of the late Lee and Ava (Bottom) Elliott. Bill was a retired Auto Service Department Manager, having worked for Cusic Chevrolet and Jeff Jones Chevrolet. He had also worked for Mark’s Meats, had served in the KY National Guard, and was a member of the Bruner’s Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include: one son, Mark (Angie) Elliott of Harrodsburg; one sister, Patsy (Wilton Decuir) Elliott of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; four grandchildren, Miranda (Jessie) Porter, Rebekah, Kelsey, & Carter Elliott; three great grandchildren, Myles, Alex & Ronan Porter. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Bobby Lee, Coleman, and Loraine. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, by Derek Baker. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Sunday and after 8 AM, Monday, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers are Jesse Dean, Ray Canterberry, Jessie Porter, John David Elliott, Carroll Wayne Perkins, & Hunter Miller.
