William Ronald “Ronnie” Thornton, 65, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Diane Carrier Thornton, died Sunday, May 15, 2022, at his home. Born March 19, 1957, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late William "Bill" and Mildred Jewell (Fuell) Thornton. Ronnie was a retired home improvement contractor, a member of the Gravel Switch Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, or anything outdoors, playing pool and spending time with grandkids.
Other survivors include: two daughters: Christin (Brian) Steele and April Lewis and one son: Bentley Carrier all of Mercer County; he also has five grandchildren, Lillian & Calee Thornton, Maddie & Cole Steele and Kelsey Presley; Brother In Law, Steve Carrier; Aunt, Peggy Gibson; Uncle, Gene Thornton.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Tuesday; May 17 at Randell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral services will be conducted by John David Lane, Wednesday at 11 am at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
