Obituary of Leona Devine Elliott

Leona Devine Elliott Leona Devine Elliott, age 83, Ott Elliott Lane, Harrodsburg, widow of Lt. Col. Edwin T. Elliott, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, Extended Care Center. Born April 1, 1921 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lindsey and Gertie (Lewis) Devine. She was a self employed homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: one son: Ott and his wife Sharon Elliott of Lawrenceburg; a special niece, Leona Royalty Berg, Harrodsburg, plus other nieces and nephews; two grandchildren, Ashley Cosby and Alex Elliott; and one great grandchild, Cory Cosby. She was preceded in death by two sons, Don and Eddie Elliott. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 13th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rick Snyder. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Ed Berg, Wm Carroll Thompson, Curtis Thompson, Charles Lewis, Floyd (Buddy) Shirley and Virgil Elliott. Honorary bearers are Mr. and Mrs. Osby Jones, Harriett Ruby, Lisa Patterson, and Edwin Freeman. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 12th after 5:00 PM and Thursday prior to service at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mercer Co. Senior Citizens or Heritage Hospice.
