Obituary of Wanda Carolyn Satterly

Wanda Carolyn Frazier Satterly, 93, of Harrodsburg, wife of the late Hugh Satterly, died Sunday June 5, 2022 the Willows in Harrodsburg. Wanda was born October 30, 1928 in Roxana, KY, the youngest of four children of Hiram and Nora Hogg Frazier. She was very proud of her eastern Kentucky heritage and maintained life-long friendships in eastern Kentucky. Wanda grew up in eastern Kentucky and moved to Louisville and later to Harrodsburg, where she met her husband. She was by his side in his business endeavors but considered herself a homemaker first. She and Hugh loved to travel, but they were the most happy spending time with their children and hosting family dinners. Her Christian faith was very important to her and guided her throughout her life. Wanda is survived by her son, Shane (Tomi) Satterly and her daughter, Anne Curry; two grandsons Evan Satterly and Christian (Victoria) Curry; three granddaughters Ashley (R.J.) Bartleson, Frazier (Brendon) Dault, and Meagan (Lucas) Edelen; three great-grandchildren Addisyn Elise Bartleson, Truman Jase Bartleson, and Katherine Spencer Dault; three nephews Charles, Ken and Steve Frazier; and sister in law Patsy Owens (Tim). She is predeceased by her loving husband, Hugh Satterly, daughter, Judy Satterly, and son in law, Bill Curry. Visitation will be Wednesday June 8th, 9am - 11:30 am at Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg. Private committal services will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to Heritage Hospice 120 Enterprise Dr, Danville, KY 40422. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care of the Willows and her special care givers Tori and Angie.
