Obituary of Jackie Major

Jackie Wayne Major, 64, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Penny Steele Major, died Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Baptist Health, Lexington. Born June 24, 1957, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Floretta (Savage) Major. He was a retired Electrical Maintenance Employee for KY Utilities and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church, where he served as Deacon and Audio-Visual Technician, and where he established the Helping Hands Medical Assistance Ministry. He loved his Lord, his Church, and spending time with his family and grandkids. Jackie also enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, smoking meat, and watching his Kentucky Wildcats. Other survivors include: two daughters, Cindy (Keith Scott) Bleier of Versailles, KY and Becky (Derek) Baker of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister, Renee (James) Reed of Harrodsburg, KY and one brother, Tommy (Ima) Major of Ewing, KY; three grandchildren, Alyssa & Emma Baker; Grandchild, Ryan Bleier. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Sat., June 11, 2022, at Mt. Pleasant Church by Derek Baker, Justin Johnson, and Ricky Catlett. Burial will follow in Mt Pleasant Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Friday and 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Church, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers are: Eddie Horn, Jimmy Howard, Benny Lane, Wayne Steele, Bobby Savage, Jimmy McEndre, Loren Kaenzig, Pete Elliott, and Charlie Baker. Honorary bearers: Mt.
