Obituary of Carrie Springate

Carrie Springate Carrie Springate, age 90, of Talmage-Mayo Road, Harrodsburg, died Friday, January 14, 2005 at the Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born March 9, 1914 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late George and Dessie (Norton) Springate. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, the church choir, the Powell Sunday School Class and the Young at Heart Group. Survivors include: one sister: Georgia Powell Springate of Harrodsburg and Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Monday, January 17th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bryan Burkhead. Burial will be in the Hopewell Baptist Cemetery in Mercer County. Pallbearers are: Charles Ashford, Mack Compton, Granville Loving, J. H. Whitenack, Elton Johnson, and Charles Stratton Honorary Bearers: Cecil Riley, Connie Darland, Don Stiglich, and members of the Powell Sunday School Class. Visitation will be Sunday, January 16th from 2-5 PM and Monday prior to the service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
