Obituary of James L. Moseley

James L. “Jim” Moseley, 82, Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Doris Gayle Hardy Moseley, died Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the Baptist Health, Lexington, KY. Born September 16, 1939, in Jefferson Co., KY, he was the son of the late John Edwin Moseley and the late Winnie Frances (Robinson) Boyer.
Jim was a graduate of Louisville Dupont Manual High School, had owned and operated Harrodsburg Automotive NAPA Store for many years, was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church, had served as a Harrodsburg City Commissioner for 12 years, and was a Paul Harris Fellow as a member of the Rotary Club of Harrodsburg. Jim had served on the Harrodsburg School District Board of Education for several years, was a longtime Harrodsburg High School Football Statistician, and was an Advisory Board member for Campbellsville Univ. Harrodsburg. He enjoyed woodworking, home improvement, and classic cars.
Survivors include: two sons, Brent (Christy) Moseley and Scott (Meg) Moseley, both of Harrodsburg; one brother, Dale E. Boyer of Woodlands, TX; special friend, Glenda Burke of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, Dane Metcalf, Colin (Maryssa) Moseley, Braden & Camden Moseley; one great granddaughter, Maryana Doris Moseley.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Harrodsburg Christian Church, by Micki McHugh and Peter Doddema. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Sunday at Harrodsburg Christian Church.
Pallbearers: Brent Moseley, Scott Moseley, Dane Metcalf, Colin Moseley, Braden Moseley, and Camden Moseley. Honorary bearers: David Taylor, Tim Biggs, Nick Yeast, Brian Hudson, Chuck Bugg, Jeff Hildebrandt, Chris Rawlings, Dan Yates, Alvis Johnson, Bob Breland Jr., Fred Kern, Kenny Allen, Joe Ruby, Jerry Newby, and members of the Rotary Club of Harrodsburg.
Memorials are suggested to: Harrodsburg Christian Church, 305 South Main Street, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
