Marshall B. “Junior” Mobley, Jr., 81, Harrodsburg, husband of Dixie Lyons Mobley, died Tues., June 21, 2022, at the UK Medical Center.
Born May 20, 1941, in Fayette Co., he was the son of the late Marshall B. and Georgia Sims Mobley Sr. He was a Master Grounds Keeper for the Bright Leaf Golf Resort, was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church, and past member of the Jaycees and former Post 52 Baseball Coach.
Other survivors include: two sons, Mark Mobley, Houston, TX, and Matthew Mobley, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Marsha Mobley, Houston, TX, and Meghan Mobley, Harrodsburg; one brother, Jimmy Mobley; eight grandchildren: Samantha Coffman, Caitlin Mobley, Casyn Rhoades, Riley Williams, Dylan Mobley Childress, Michael Mobley, Marshall Mobley and Maci Mobley and three great grandchildren: Anessia Wooten, Max Mobley and Necia Mobley. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica M. Coffman, and four siblings, Billy Mobley, Alma Shepherd, Onita Royalty, and Patsy Dean.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Sat., June 25, 2022, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by James Harley. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation will be 11 AM until 2 PM, Sat., Ransdell’s.
Pallbearers are Doug Royalty, Clayton King, Tia King, Tony Dean, Nathan Mobley, Clay McGlone, and Joey Mobley. Honorary bearers are Cary King, Jimmy McGlone and the Shady River Boys.
