Dorthy Gritton, 85, widow of Carroll Gritton, died Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Morning Pointe of Danville. Born March 5, 1937, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Maudie (Releford) Cannada. She retired from Gateway and was a member of the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: two daughters: Debbie (Mike) Turner and Kelli (Rick) Hayes of Harrodsburg, KY, and one son: Joey (Terri) Gritton of Versailles, KY; six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by two sisters; Mary Eva Darland and Ruby Carey and a great grandchild.
Visitation will be 11 am - 2 pm Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, by John David Lane and James Byrd. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Bryan Turner, Adam Turner, Justin Kendrick, Jamie Goodpaster, Nick Powell, Nathan Taylor, Lindsey Gritton and Leslie Taylor. Honorary Bearersy will be: Tom Darland, Jerry Darland, Tony Darland, Donna Hankla, Ricky Jenkins, Matt McWilliams, Jennifer Brennan, Kendra Goodpaster and Leeann Turner.
