Obituary of David Goodlett

David Allen "Uncle Bud" Goodlett, 69, Harrodsburg, KY, died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at home. Born December 8, 1952, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Lane) Goodlett. David was a retired machine operator for Modine Manufacturing, was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel, loved to play bluegrass music on the guitar. David was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with family. Survivors include: two daughters, Stacy Goodlett and Stephanie Goodlett of Harrodsburg; sister, Rachel Goodlett of Harrodsburg, KY; Grandchild, Rebecca (Nick) Hacker Johnson; Step Grandchild, Shealyn King; two Great Grandchildren, Olivia Johnson and Joseph Johnson and his Special Companion, Chewy. Predeceased family includes his former wife; Judy Grubbs Goodlett; Brothers, Harold, Frank and Donnie Goodlett; Half Brothers, James, Kenneth and Paul Goodlett, Bill, Kenneth and James “Frog” Raley; Sister; Brenda Goodlett and Half Sisters, Alma Goodlett and Opal Peyton. Visitation will be 11 am - 2 pm Monday, August 1 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral services will be at 2 pm by Derek Baker. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY Pallbearers will be: Marty Hurst, Bo Goodlett, Mike Butler, Chris Goodlett, Jeff Goodlett, and Ronald Raley.
