Joyce Long

Joyce Long, age 56, Magnolia St, Harrodsburg, wife of Kenneth G. Long, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.

Born November 11, 1948 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna Lucille (Clark) Cummins. She was a private duty nurse and a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Harrodsburg. Survivors in addition to her husband, Kenneth Gordon Long, are two sons; Kevin Combs of Orlando FL and Paul Combs Jr of Nicholasville, KY; two sisters: Clara Farney and Pat Sanders, both of Lexington, KY; and one brother: Mike Cummins of Lexington, KY; one grandchild: Sebby Combs. She was preceded in death by a sister Ruby Gumm and a brother James Cummins Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 20th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Potts with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Bob White, Lance Farney, Jimmy Foster, Shannon Foster, David Cheek, and Kenny Williams.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 19th from after 5:00 PM and Thursday prior to the service, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg.
