William Houston Burkhead, 78, husband of Anne Sanford Burkhead, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2022. Born June 3, 1944, in Mt. Eden, KY, he was the son of the late Joe Riley and Mary Alice (Abrams) Burkhead. He was a retired KY Dept. of Transportation employee, was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and was a KY National Guard Veteran. Other survivors include: son, John Houston (Jennifer) Burkhead, Mt. Eden, KY; Rebecca (Scott) Jamison, Mt.Eden, KY; brother, Norris (Thelma) Burkhead, Lawrenceburg, KY; eleven grandchildren & ten great grandchildren. Funeral services 11 AM, Sat., Oct. 22, 2022, at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Hwy 44, Mt. Eden, KY, by Ryan Marcum and Tom Conway. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM, Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Pallbearers are: Ryan Allan, Rex & Todd Burkhead, Alex & Donnie Dennis, Junnie Gardner, Jim Sanford, & Scott Smithia. Honorary Pallbearers are: Jr. Cook, Ron Denny, Jim Evans, Donald Husband, Larry Maddox, Scotty Mathis, Roy Monsees, Dale Neddeau, Ralph Perry, Dick Rice, Phillip Smitha, Scott Ware, & Ray Wethington Memorials suggested to the National Leiomysarcoma Foundation, 1685 S.
