Obituary of Ruth E. Keller

Ruth Elizabeth Sherrow Keller, 82, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of James E. Keller, died Friday, October 21, 2022, at Baptist Health in Lexington. Born March 10, 1940, in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. Sherrow and Katheryn (Mintor) Sherrow. She was a member of the Bohon Christian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and youth director. Ruth wore many hats during her working days, she worked for American Greetings and Cricketeer, was a secretary for Wilson & Ratliff Farms, co-owner and cosmetologist at G & R Studio, and was the hotel manager for Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill and was a bus monitor. She also was civic minded and volunteered for Gideon's Auxiliary, Friends of Shaker Village, was past president for Burgin Homemakers and for the Fort Harrod Business & Professional Women's Club. Survivors include: husband; James E. Keller of Harrodsburg, two sons, Donnie (Benita) Hatter of Nicholasville, KY, Jimmy (Suzzanne) Hatter of Paris, KY; daughter, Dena Gay Keller of Lexington, KY; Daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Keller of Harrodsburg, KY; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Keller, and two brothers, Harry & Hogan Sherrow. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, October 24, 2022, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Derek Baker and Tim Darland. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm; Sunday, October 23 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers will be: David Brown, Gil Lay, Jason Shewmaker, Nathan Ellis, Gary Keller and Rayve Rawlings. Memorials are suggested to Gideon International P.O.
