Gregory Alan “Greg” Yankey, 53, died Wed., Nov. 2, 2022, in Lexington, KY. Born Nov. 29, 1968, he was the son of Harold “Pete” and Peggy (Lowry) Yankey, Boyle Co., KY. He was a Civil Engineer for HDR Inc., was a Board Member of the Kentucky Geological Survey and member of St. Philips Episcopal Church. Survivors other than his parents include: his two children and their mother, Madeline Anne Yankey, Cincinnati, OH, John Alan Yankey, Manassas, VA, and Melanie McDaniel Yankey, Lexington; a sister, Kimberly Broyles, Nicholasville, KY. Services will be held 11 AM, Monday, November 7, 2022, at the St. Philips Episcopal Church, Harrodsburg, KY, by Fr. Peter Doddema. Burial will be in the Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5PM – 7 PM, Sunday, November 6, 2022, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, and after 10 AM, Monday, St. Philips. Pallbearers are: John Yankey, Cory Broyles, Nicholas Broyles, Dillon Abney, Roger Johnson, and Troy Lay. Memorials are suggested to St. Philips Episcopal Church, 118 W. Poplar St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
