Doris West, , Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Howard West, died Sunday, November 13, 2022, at her home in Burgin. Born December 10, 1946, in Danville , KY was the daughter of the late Lilburn and Lillie (York) Lay. She was a retired employee of the Kentucky State Hospital and more recently the Northpoint Training Center.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Donna Mae Drury of Harrodsburg, KY; son, Jeffrey Alan (Jennifer) West of Gravel Switch, KY; brother, Cecil Lay; Grandson, Jeffrey Michael (Cheryl)West; Three Granddaughters, Shay West, Whitney (Trenton) Allen, Amanda Mattingly; five great grandchildren, Breanna West, Brayden West; Abby May, Mason West, Jason West. Doris was predeceased by seven siblings; David Lay, Estill Leigh, Ralph Leigh, Clarence Sims Jr., John Leigh, Pearl Butler and Gladys Waterstrat.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Joe Smith and Gil Lay. Burial will follow in Burgin Memorial Garden. Visitation will be 5 - 8pm, Wednesday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers will be: Michael West, Brayden West, Jason West, Durand Lay, Mike Turner and Brandon Wilson. Honorary Bearers will be: Shay West, Whitney Allen, Amanda Mattingly, Breanna West, Abby May and Mason West.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of ones choice.
