Tommy. Or Uncle Tommy, depending on the year and if I wanted something, lol. Our families have been connected since forever. Since spades in the kitchen. Since long weekends at the cabin. Since babysitting the rugrats for y'all. Since Grace. It feels like a thousand years ago. But for some reason it seems like last week I heard a laugh from your kitchen when I pointed out something obvious and you thought it was hilarious. It wasn't. You were placating a teenager. Because that's who you were back then. But you still laughed that big ass laugh. Now that I know I won't hear it again, I know I'll miss it. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to talk to you over the past years. I love you always and I'll miss you more than you would ever know. You, and your big ass laugh. Love, Erin Stevens

You were always so full of life, "Cuz", and took great joy in it on many occasions I remember. Your joy was always infectious, including those big laughs that came out from deep down inside. I remember fondly our walks in the woods at Lake Herrington when we were growing up. We had so many good times there, including sitting out on the screened porch at night singing while your dad played the guitar and led us in it. And then there was that Christmas when we were all at Auntie Bun's and Uncle James' in Missouri and you wouldn't let me get any sleep on Christmas Eve! So many good memories. We're having a tree planted in memory and honor of your love of life. A tree that will keep bringing life to the world for many years to come seemed a very fitting tribute to you. I also found this pic in my Facebook photos of our extended family at Central Christian Church and you are right in the center, of course, with that famous "Dooley" smile on your face.
