Obituary of Anthony Wayne Collier Richardson

Anthony Wayne Richardson, 39, was born on December 12, 1982 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. He left his earthly home on Thursday November 24, 2022. He was the son of Mary Sue Richardson, Wayne Collier and Donald Bruce Sanford. Anthony was preceded in death by his father Wayne, his dad Donnie, his grandparents, Bonnie and Charles Richardson as well as many others he knew and loved. Left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Logan Wayne Richardson, his mother Mary Sue, his sisters Donna Mae Sanford and Renee (Collier) Murphy, his niece Shayden Myers, as well as his uncles, a host of cousins, special friends and loved ones. Anthony lived the majority of his life in his hometown of Harrodsburg, Kentucky where he was close to his family and those he loved. Anthony enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish and be out in nature. He could be found by the water most summer days enjoying walking in the creek, fishing on its banks or just skipping rocks and laughing with those he loved. Anthony also enjoyed going on spontaneous road trips and making people laugh. He will always be remembered for his ability to talk with anyone and make them laugh, his crazy story telling and his big smile. Later in his life, Anthony found great joy in speaking to people that were facing the same struggles he once faced and sharing his testimony to help encourage and inspire them to create a life that makes them happy. He had aspirations to one day be a peer support specialist. Anthony Wayne’s departure has left a huge hole in the hearts of many, but his memory will live forever with those that loved him. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sat, Dec. 3, 2022, at the Ransdell Funeral chapel, by Virginia Byrd Savage. Visitation will be 12 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
