James David Dobson, 76, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Barbara Boyce Dobson, died Thursday, December 8, 2022, at his home. Born November 15, 1946, in Martinsville, VA, he was the son of the late James David Dobson Sr. and the late Lavila (Harmon) Dobson. He was retired owner of Dobson Power Line Construction Co., a Beef Provider at the Mercer County Farmers Market, and was a US Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. Other survivors include: Son, James David Dobson, III of Danville, KY; Daughter, Jennifer Dobson of Lexington, KY; Three Sisters, Shirley Ann Dobson, Nicholasville, KY, Edwina Simpson, Hickman, KY, Lannie Dobson, Port Charlotte, FL; Grandchildren, Cordelle, Christopher, & Wyatt Dobson, Laina & Gavin Green, and James David Dobson, IV. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Reynolds. Memorial Services with Military Rites will be 1:00 pm, Sat., December 17, 2022, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Inc.. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, Saturday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Inc.. It is suggested that donations be made to a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 in his memory.
