Peggy May Gribbins


Peggy May Gribbins, age 85, North College Street, Harrodsburg, died Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Danville Ctr. for Health in Danville.


Born February 22, 1919 in Lebanon, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Mamie (Tungate) Bright. She was a retired cook at Beaumont Inn and Stone Manor Restaurant in Harrodsburg and a member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church.


Survivors include: one daughter, Rita Willard Hoback, Harrodsburg; one sister, Martha Bray, Louisville; and one grandson, Gary Gribbins, Frankfort. She was preceded in death by a brother Omer Gribbins.


Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Monday, February 14th at the Old Liberty Cemetery in Bradfordsville by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in the Old Liberty Cemetery.


Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until Noon at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mercer County Humane Society.
