Obituary of Helen Jean Sheldon

Helen Jean Sheldon, 87, originally of Sadieville, KY, died Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Signature Health Care, Harrodsburg. Born February 24, 1935, in Grant County, she was the daughter of the late Bailey and Elva (Courtney) Henry. Helen was the widow of Shelby Marshall Sheldon, a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School.
Survivors include: Adopted Children , Lynn (Nathaniel) Dennis of Salvisa, KY, Johnetta (Jay) Taylor of Nicholasville, KY and Bert (Lora) Marshall Sheldon of Corinth, KY; Grandchildren, Noah Wilson, Kendra Wilson & Johnny Dennis, Isaiah Dennis, Summer Cain, Shelby Taylor, Rebecca Brockman & Dakota Taylor; two sisters: Betty Martin and Wanda Woolums, and one brother: Bailey Wayne Henry. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Shelby Marshall Sheldon; son, Marshall Wayne Sheldon; sister, Louise Wilson and granddaughter, Wanda Gayle Sheldon.
Visitation will be 11 am -1 pm Wednesday; December 28 at The New Friendship Baptist Church, 1007 Dixon Rd, Sadieville. Funeral will be at 1pm, conducted by Greg Mullins. Burial will follow at the Raven Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Nathaniel Dennis, Rodney Milner, Patrick Riley and Noah Wilson, Hononrary Bearers are Joe Trailer and Jim Alexander.
Memorial donations are suggested to: New Friendship Baptist Church, Building Fund, 20 Caney Lane, Corinth, KY 41010.
