Josephine Bottom Bugg, 85, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Charles Berdie Bugg, Sr., died Friday, January 13, 2023, at the UK Medical Center, Lexington. Born June 9, 1937, in Gravel Switch, KY, she was the daughter of the late Allen M. and Iva Jane (Bottom) Bottom. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Evelyn (Terry) Sears of Harrodsburg, KY; two sons, David (John Parker) Bugg of Lexington, KY and Chuck (Sandy) Bugg of Harrodsburg, KY; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Conner Bugg, three brothers, Edward, Melvin, and Billy Bottom, and four sisters, Ruby Wilkerson, Francis Milburn, Micky Holtby, and Mattie Jane Russell. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at the Ransdel Funeral Chapel, by John Kesel. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 11 am - 2 pm, Monday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers: David, Chuck & Travis Bugg and Benjamin, Brian, & Terry Sears. Memorials are suggested to: Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
