Obituary of Anna P. Estes Myers

Anna P. Estes Myers, 81, Harrodsburg, KY, formerly of Mt. Sterling, KY, wife of Harold David Myers, died Saturday, February 18, 2023, at her home. Born July 21, 1941, in Hope, KY, she was the daughter of the late Clarence G. and Laura Belle (Phillips) Estes Sr.. She was retired from the Traditional Bank of Mt. Sterling and was a member of The Carpenter’s Christian Church, Harrodsburg. Ann enjoyed cooking, baking, and entertaining, but found her real joy in her family and her faith. Other survivors include: one son, Joseph David (Toni) Myers of Harrodsburg, KY; two grandchildren, Colby (Ali) Myers and Ruth Ann Myers; five sisters, Loretta Highley, Eura Lee Jones, Virginia Hughes, Betty (Bill) Rushford and Barbara Hurst; one brother, Roscoe Estes. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, as well as a sister, Bonnie Toy, brothers, J. B. Estes and Clarence G. Estes Jr., and half-brothers, Thomas and Wilburn Estes. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wed., Feb. 22, 2023, at The Carpenter’s Christian Church, Harrodsburg, by Greg Warren, John Kesel, Philip Donaldson, and David Jones. Visitation will be 5 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday and after 9 AM Wednesday, at The Carpenter's Christian Church. For family and friends in Mt. Sterling and the Montgomery Co. area, a graveside service will be held 2 PM, Wed., at the Machpelah Cemetery, 600 Locust St., Mt. Sterling, KY 40353, by David Campbell and David Jones. Pallbearers are: David Lee Jones, Danny Morton, Ronnie Highley, Danny Ray Estes, Vernon Coffey, Larry Keath, Carl Willoughby, and Kyle Haverbusch. Honorary bearers are: Alice Ward, Elizabeth Ann Black, Kathy Friend, Rosa Shuler, Shirlee Coffey, Elizabeth Ann Wilson, Sharon Lansdale, Sherry Taul, Judy Arnett, and Ramona Hudson.
