Philip Earl Slaven, 68, Harrodsburg, KY, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at his home. Born June 22, 1954, he was the son of the late William Ernest and Ruby Pearl (Malone) Slaven. Philip retired as a truck driver for The Brick Yard. Survivors include: two brothers: James (Betty) Slaven of Burgin, KY and Wayne Slaven of Harrodsburg, KY; nieces, Stacy Everett; Niece, Crystal Gayle Kinney; Nephews, Scotty Slaven & Dalton Slaven; several great nieces and nephews,. Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Donnie Irvin, 1:00 pm Monday, February 27, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Burgin Memorial Garden. Visitation will be 11AM - 1PM Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers are: Austin Slaven, Scotty Slaven, Billy Miton and Josh Woods and Logan Woods. Memorials are suggested to: Mercer County Animal Shelter, 896 Moberly Road, Harrodsburg, KY 40330 or the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, P.O. Box 411, Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330.
