Calvin D. Wise, 81, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Dora May Harlow Wise for 32 years, died Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY. Born September 1, 1941, in Woodford County, KY, he was the son of the late Willard and Eula (Shelton) Wise. He was a retired Painting Contractor and had owned Wise Painting. Calvin also flipped houses and made beautiful furniture. He enjoyed gardening, reading his Bible, and was a member of Member of the Bread of Life Assembly of God, Lexington, KY. Other survivors include: two daughters, Cally (Aaron) Whitt of Winchester, KY and Frances (Don) Sargent of Harrodsburg, KY; three sons, John (DeWanna) Wise of OH, Doug Wise of FL and Kevin (Kim) Blair of Wilmore, KY; two sisters, Linda (Owen) Stanley and Ora Lee Carr; three brothers, Doug (Carrie) Wise, Gene & Jimmy Wise; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Wise, a daughter, Tammy Hunt, and three siblings, Phillip, Gary & Dennis J. Wise. Funeral services will be 6:00 PM, Monday, April 17, 2023, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY, by Dave Allen. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
