Paul Clinton Merritt, 83, Salvisa, KY, husband of Bettina Maffett Merritt, died Thursday, April 13, 2023, at his home. Born February 3, 1940, in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late James Edgar and Erise Lee (McDonald) Merritt. He was a retired Manager for IBM Inc., had been a realtor and auctioneer, and was a member of the Catholic Church
Other survivors include: one daughter, Shannon Hunt (John) Zehnder of Louisville, KY; two sons, Paul (Linda) Merritt II of Winchester, KY and James Merrit of Lawrenceburg, KY; one sister, Frances Foley of Versailles, KY; Grandchildren, Emily (Jay) Lawless, Michael & Daniel Merritt. He had two special companions, his dog, Lucky Pierre, and his horse, BeBe.
Funeral services will be11:00 AM, Tues., April 18, 2023, at the St. Andrew Catholic Church, by Fr. Edwin Netlas. Burial will follow in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery, Cynthiana, KY. Visitation will be 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Harrodsburg, KY.
