Robert Stack posted a condolence

My sincerest condolences to Judy and the Hogue family. Captain Jim Hogue was a great influence in the early part of my career with Lexington Police and was also a mentor in my later appointments in the Order of the Eastern Star. He was consistently a kind person to interact with and was willing to share his wealth of experience with anyone willing to listen. His leadership abilities were evident throughout the various organizations he led or served in over the decades.
Robert Stack, Asst. Chief (ret.), Lexington Police Department

Lori and family... so sorry for your loss. Growing up I can always remember he was part of the Shriners and I always thought that was so cool to have a dad that was part of that organization. I am sending prayers to you, your mother and your sister during this sad time.

Jim and Judy were/are some of the greatest people I know!! Over the years traveling the state with them they treated my kids like their own grandkids, and were always there to take care of my mom, and granny when I could be!! Not sure my mom will make it through traveling without him/them!! I know Johana was there waiting to hug his neck when he walked through those pearly gates to the most amazing place!! Heaven has gained some of my favorite people and Judy I know you and I both look forward to being with them again soon!!!
