Obituary of Marie McKinney

Malinda Marie McKinney, 88, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of James W. McKinney, died Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Walker's Trail Senior Living in Danville. Born October 10, 1934, in Hardin County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Garney and Flossie (Yates) Jones. Marie was a retired Housing Administrator for the US Government and was a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed quilting and needlework, cooking and gardening. She also volunteered for several years at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Survivors include: one daughter, Becky McKinney of Sadieville, KY; two sons, Chuck (Rebecca) McKinney and Steve (Melanie) McKinney, both of Harrodsburg, KY; nine grandchildren; Ashley, Nathan, Shannon, Andrew, JoHanna, Samantha, Charlie Nicholas and Aubrey; ten great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Blanton; brothers-in-law, Tom (Betty) McKinney and Greg Dearbourne. She was preceded in death by a daughter; Dian McKinney, and six siblings, Robert Lee, Bill, Rena, Jane, Rose and Ann.
A private committal service conducted by Jacob Bryant is planned at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY.
