Obituary of Elma Rae Long

Elma R. Long Elma R. Long, age 79, Bohon Road, Harrodsburg, widow of Hobert G. Long, died Sunday, February 27, 2005 at her home Born June 25, 1925 in Willisburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late George and Flora (Durr) Gritton. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and was the church custodian for many years. Survivors include: one sister, Faye G. Drury of Willisburg, a grandson, Bradley (Crystal) H. Darland, Versailles, one granddaughter, Christi (Steve) DeMoss of Lexington, her son-in-law, Michael L. Darland, Harrodsburg; three great grandchildren, Austin and Kelsee Darland and Justin DeMoss. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Darland Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 1st at the Bethel Baptist Church by Reverends Jack Greurin and David Culp. Burial will be in the Church cemetery Pallbearers are: Brent Steele, Terry Steele, Curtis Sherrow, Tommy Pinkston, Mark Gray, and Jimmy Dale Hawthorne. Honorary bearers are Deacons of the Bethel Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, February 28th after 5:00 PM and Tuesday 7:30 AM till Noon at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
