When I think about Ronnie I think about how young he was when he married Mary Rose and became part of our large family. He was accepting of all of us from the beginning. My earliest memories was that Ronnie always had the coolest cars. I also remember that Mary Rose and Ronnie would take Ila and I to Lexington. We would shop at K Mart and eat at MacDonalds. It was such a treat. Ronnie was always kind if we stopped by for a visit for a meal or to spend the night. After 65 years it won’t be the same visiting Mary Rose without Ronnie. I will miss you Ronnie. Sue and Martin

I shall miss Ronnie each Sunday when it’s time for church. I will expect to see him and Mary coming to give me a ride to church. He attempted to teach me to drive years ago. He was somewhat successful. After Ronnie retired he cooked many meals for the sisters. These are just a few examples of how he was an important part of my life, and I will miss him, especially on our holiday family meals. It won’t be the same.

We always had a boat when Pam and I were growing up. Daddy loved boating and fishing. So many of my childhood memories are from going to different lakes. This picture was a boating outing to celebrate Father’s Day a few years ago.

When I was young I used to spend a lot of time at Mary and Ronnie’s house. Even though I’m Mary’s sister, I’m closer in age to Pam and Rhonda. Mary and Ronnie were always so good to me. They would take me to the lake boating, to the drive in and even to Gatlinburg, TN. When Ronnie was teaching Pam to ride her bike he taught me to ride as well. And now, even though I’m 66 years old, I still ride my bike. I’ll always remember the man who took the time to teach me to ride.

Prayers for for family!
Ronnie and Mary are 2 people that never will be forgotten and will always be in my heart. I called them my church parents at Harrodsburg Baptist, thru rough time and divorce they took me in and made me feel like a son, looked forward to Sunday and sharing church pew with a loving couple.
