Edward Thomas “Eddie” Young, 80, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Brenda Long Young, died Thursday, July 27, 2023, at his home. Born June 2, 1943, in Mercer County, KY, he was the son of the late O. C. and Sarah Edwina (Phillips) Young. He was a retired Receiving Manager for Hitachi Mfg, a US Air Force veteran, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, where he served as an usher and ROC volunteer for many years. Eddie was also an avid reader and football fan.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Stacy Logue of Harrodsburg, KY and Kristie Young of Nashville, TN; one son, Mark (Holly) Young of Visalia, CA; two brothers, Tony Young of Stanford, KY and Phillip (Charlotte) Young of Harrodsburg, KY; grandchildren, Canon Young, Gage (Janae) Young, Lee (Ashley) Logue, Devin, Erin, & Riley Logue; great grandchildren, Kaydance, Leelan, Ethan & Robin Logue and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 11:00 AM, Sat., August 5, 2023, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jonathan Johnston. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday and 8:00 AM until the hour of service Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.

Pallbearers are grandchildren: Canon and Gage Young, Lee, Devin, Erin, and Riley Logue. Honorary bearers are: Harrodsburg High School 1961 class members, Freddie Brown, Clayton Tyler, Larry Lance and Bob Stevens.
