Kenneth Ray Helton, SR. Obituary



Kenneth Ray Helton, Sr., 81, Harrodsburg KY, died Thursday, August 24, 2023, at home. Born September 27, 1941, in Magoffin County, he was the son of the late Leona Collinsworth. He was a Carpenter and Farmer. Kenneth worked for Ken Isaacs Interior and RT Jordan. He loved his family and “black cows”. He was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.


Kenneth is survived by two daughters: Sheri (Pearl) Hamlin of Salvisa, KY and Karen Day two sons: Ken (Becky) Helton and Keith (Belinda) Helton all of Harrodsburg, KY, three sisters: JoAnn Cox, Carolyn Sue Word and Glenna Kay Joseph, and one brother: David Jackson; Nine Grandchildren; Brittany (Jeremiah) Bustle, Michael (Lacy) Ray, Mikayla (Jared) Wilson, Jordan Helton, Levi Helton, Luke Helton, Kristian Horn, Lee Robert Crank, Chelsie Brogle. Kenneth also had 10 Great Grandchildren. He had a Lifelong best friend Taylor Blair and faithful companion Connor.


He was preceded in death by his brother Jackie Collinsworth.


Funeral services 1:00 PM Tuesday 8/29 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John McDaniel and Brad King. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be Monday at 5-8 PM.


Pallbearers will be: Austin League, Michael Ray, Marty Gibson, Levi Helton, Luke Helton, Kyle Brogle, Jared Wilson and Jeremiah Bustle. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Taylor Blair, Kenny Isaac, Kenny Long, Donald Eldridge, Brian Collinsworth, and Wade Collinsworth.
