Thomas David Woods
Thomas David Woods, age 79, Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Frankfort Regional Medical Ctr., Frankfort, KY.
Born December 13, 1925 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late Ansel R. and Ethel (Million) Woods and was the widower of Hilda Alderson Woods.
He was a graduate of Transylvania University. He served during World War II in the Marine Corps. He was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Lawrenceburg where he served as treasurer of the Mens Group. He was also a member and past Master of the St. Johns Lodge # 125 F & AM, former High Priest of Daviess Chapter # 29 Royal Arch Masons, Danville Council # 3, Ryan Commandery # 17, Oleika Shrine Temple. He was past District Deputy of Grand Lodge of KY. Member of the Bluegrass Shrine Club and the Bluegrass York Rite College # 104. He taught at Mercer County High School for a number of years and retired from the Kentucky State Cabinet of Human Resources.
Survivors include: one son: Thomas David (Carol) Woods, II. of Lexington, KY one sister: Charlotte (John) Gunter of CA and one brother: Maurice (Emmalou) Woods of IN, Special Companion, Jewell Warford
Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating.
Memorials suggested to the St. Johns Lodge # 125, Salvisa, KY 40372 or the 1st Christian Church, Lawrenceburg, KY.
