I have so many memories of Grandma Jane. One of my favorites is when we were at Regency Mall shopping for Christmas. That year we got locked in the mall because of a power cut. We were in a restaurant, I can't remember the name now, but it was a group of us. Grandma Jane, Kim, Tina, Dawn, Aunt Gennie, and me. I can't remember if Eric and KC were there. Anyways to pass the time locked in the restaurant, we started singing Christmas carols. Some of the other people locked in with us joined in.
I also remember the Christmas it snowed and I was at their house on 14th St. Aunt Brenda and Uncle Buddy came down with their kids. I think there were 11 of us stuck in the house. Aunt Brenda and Grandma Jane trying to cook for Christmas while all of us kids were underfoot. Grandpa Darrell being his usual grumpy self with so many people around and can't go anywhere because of the snow. Aunt Gennie's and Uncle Ronnie's pump froze so we had them, plus Tina, and KC coming over to use the bathroom, which everyone knows was Grandpa Darrell's throne. Eventually the snow stopped and we, the kids, went for a walk outside down to Great Grandma Townsend's house and back.
I may not remember every weekend spent at the house on 14th Street, but I do know it was filled with love for all the kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews.

We played Rook together one night and she was the sweetest lady I have met in a long time! Prayers for the family and friends
