Vernetta H. Walker, 86, Harrodsburg, KY, widow of J. L. Walker, died Thursday, October 26, 2023, at The Willows at Harrodsburg. Born January 28, 1937, in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Lona Bell (Waldridge) Harley. Vernetta was a retired Genesco Clothing Mfg. employee and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son, Mark (Debbie) L Walker; Harrodsburg ; two grandchildren, Jordan Smith and Logan (Kamri) Smith; son-n-law, Keith Smith. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Smith.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Daniel Smith. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers are: Keith Smith, Stephen Bailey, Danny Oakes, Harry Humes and Jordan & Logan Smith.
