Shelby Jean Yocum Obituary

Shelby Jean Yocum, 87, Harrodsburg, KY, wife of James "Jim" David Yocum, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at her home. Born September 28, 1936, in Owen Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late James Knox and Flora (Caudle) Duvall. She was a homemaker and attended The Carpenter's Christian Church. Shelby also volunteered at the Christian Life Center, Harrodsburg.



Other survivors include: two sons, Scott Yocum of Harrodsburg, KY and James Michael "Mike" (Maria) Yocum of Ft. Belvoir, VA; two grandchildren, Katie Darnall and Kaylee Yocum. Preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lou Ritter.


Funeral services will be 12 noon, Sat., Nov. 18, 2023, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Stephen Tate. Burial will follow in Bagdad Cemetery, Bagdad, KY. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the hour of service Saturday, Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
