Obituary of Maye Smith

Elizabeth Maye Smith, age 94, of Danville, KY, widow of Harold Smith, died Monday, March 11, 2024 at home in Danville. Born July 24, 1929 in Elliott Co., KY, she is the daughter of the late Marion and Flora Belle (Green) White. She a retired bookkeeper for Smith Concrete Inc. and was a member of Faith Church, Danville, KY.
She is survived by one daughter: Sallie (Greg) Slone MD of Danville, KY and one son: Malcolm (Dena) Smith of Sandy Hook, KY; She also has four grandchildren, Camden (Holli) Slone, Lauren Slone, Kari (Jon) Hart, and Miranda (Swope) Munday; four great-grandchildren, Weston Slade Hart, Grayson Cole Hart, Elijah Munday, and Micah Munday. She was preceded in deat by nine siblings.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 17th at Faith Church, 4050 South Danville Bypass, Danville, KY with Jay Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, Danville.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 17th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Faith Church.
Pallbearers: Camden Slone, Jon Hart, Swope Munday, Dana Fields, Hershel Gillum, Tim Hall & Brett Francis.
Memorials are suggested to Faith Church, 4050 S. Danville Bypass, Danville, KY 40422 or to Heritage Hospice, 120 Enterprise Dr., Danville, KY 40422.
