Marian Louise Dean, age 82, wife of A.T. Dean Jr, of Harrodsburg, died Sunday, March 24, 2024 at home. Born March 6, 1942 in Glasgow, KY, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Hattie Louise (Curry) Cox. She was a retired Registrar & Clerk for the Mercer County Health Department. Marian was a member of the Burgin Christian Church, where she served in CWF, the choir, the Outreach Committee, and as an Elder. She is survived by: her husband, A.T. Dean Jr., Harrodsburg; three daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Witt, Lori (Terry) Hutchins, and Angie (John) Powell; two sisters, Sue Ramsey and Gayle Vice, and one brother, Larry (Nadine) Cox; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; a special friend, Maureen Dunn. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Jim Cox, Dale Cox, Gary Cox and Phyllis Yocum. A memorial service will be held 7 PM, Friday, April 12, 2024, at the at Burgin Christian Church, 300 Main St, Burgin, KY 40310, with John Powell and Logan Hazlewood officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Friday, at Burgin Christian Church. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to Burgin Christian Church, 300 Main St., Burgin KY 40310 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2802 Palumbo Dr #205, Lexington KY 40509.
