Hanley Lee McMullin, age 84, of Harrodsburg, husband of Annetta Reed McMullin, died Saturday, April 6, 2024 at home in Harrodsburg. Born April 4, 1940 in Mercer Co., KY, he was the son of the late Herman Neal and Susie (Devine) McMullin.

Hanley was a farmer, licensed electrician, and former Mercer Co. Deputy Sheriff. He had worked for RexNord, Eaton Corp, and Ashland Oil. He was a member of The Carpenter’s Christian Church, was a Lifelong NRA Member, and a KY Colonel. He loved spending time with family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Hanley was a man of God, loved his country, military, farming, hunting, and reloading. He was a fierce protector of what was his; his family and his land.

Survivors other than his wife include: three children, Kimberly (Raymond) Sullivan, Brian (Nancy) McMullin, and Patrick (Amy) McMullin; nine grandchildren, Christy (David Curtis) Ransdell, Keith (Shannon) Dean, Nikki McMullin, Anna Beth (Joey) Vorbek, Jordan (Aaron) Tate, Savannah McMullin, Zack McMullin, Amanda (Taylor) Young, and Seth McMullin (Madison Belcher); fifteen great grandchildren, Carleigh (Mason) Smith, Haylee Ransdell (Aaron May), Austin Marie Dean, Tucker Dean, Briggs Thomas Dean, Micah Ransdell, Whitley Rose Ransdell, Brynlee McMullin, Emily and Katie Jones, Kaylee, Georgia, Colton, & Caleb Branham, & Eva-Belle Young; one great great grandchildren, Clara Dawne Smith; step granddaughter, Tara Sullivan, step great grandchildren, Josh & Kyndall Bixler; sister –in-law, Hope McMullin. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Levi McMullin, and a brother, Aubrey Jay McMullin.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, April 12, 2024, at The Carpenter's Christian Church, 1340 U.S. 127 Bypass, Harrodsburg, KY with Greg Warren, Derek Baker, John Kesel, and Leonard Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 11th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Carpenter's Christian Church.

Pallbearers are: Zack & Seth McMullin, Keith Dean, David Curtis Ransdell, Mason Smith, and Taylor Young. Honorary bearers are: Garland Christopher, Glenn Devine, Junior Huffman, John Elliott, Hal Adams, Johnnie Slone, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
