Joan Preston, age 77, of Harrodsburg, KY, widow of Lonnie Hayden, died Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Harrodsburg Health & Rehab. Joan was born July 5, 1946 in Mercer Co., KY, to the late Everett and Ora V. (Moore) Preston.

She was a retired Case Worker for the KY Cabinet For Human Resources - Dept Of Child Abuse & Neglect. Joan Preston was a member of the Bohon Church of Christ, a graduate of Mercer Co. High School & Southeastern Christian College, and was an avid reader & loved her pets.

She is survived by one son: Andrew (Judith) Miracle of Lancaster, KY; one sister: Jane Preston of Harrodsburg, KY; one grandchild; David Andrew Miracle; two step grandchildren, Deryn Wafford and William Taylor.

The funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington St., Harrodsburg, KY with Frank Preston officiating. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa, KY.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 13th from 11AM - 1PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers are Andy Miracle, Eric Baker, Ed, Mike, Nash, and Jordan Preston. Honorary bearers are Paul Preston Jr., Winston and Jack Preston, Ronnie Broce, and Phillip Anderson.
