Carolyn "Joyce" Dunning, age 81, of Salvisa died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Morning Pointe Of Danville. Born October 30, 1942 in Harrodsburg, KY. She is the daughter of the late James Hansford “J.H.” and Kathleen (Long) Newby. She was a secretary for IBM for many years. Joyce loved to cook and enjoyed her free time decorating and doing crafts.
She is survived by one daughter: Traci (Stephen) Goodlett of Salvisa, KY and one son: Brad (Laurie) Dunning of Salvisa, KY; one sister: Jane Gouzoules of New Hampshire; two brothers: Jerry and Jim Newby of Harrodsburg KY; six grandchildren: Amanda Lay, Katie Ward, Lauren Moore, Samantha Maggard, Jon Dunning and Nathan Dunning; six Great Grandchildren: Redmond Kate Lay, Chandler Ward, Jon Wells Lay, Eli Clarkson Dunning and two on the way.
Private services will be held at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
