Marvin Ray Osbourn, 84, husband of Wanda Ruth Gibson, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at his home in Harrodsburg, KY. Born May 2, 1940, in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late James and Letha Jane (Gray) Osbourn. He graduated from Gallatin County High School in 1958, married Wanda, and then served four years in the US Navy during Vietnam. Marvin also worked for Trane Company and Lowe’s Company in Frankfort, Charleston, WV, Belpre, OH and Danville, KY for a total of 18 years and retired from Overnite Transportation after 16 years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon, assistant Sunday School Director and teacher, a trustee and the bus driver. In addition to his wife, Wanda, other survivors include: three sons, Marvin Stacy Osbourn of Harrodsburg, Eric Jason (Tiah) Osbourn of Stanford, KY and Mark Wayne (Michelle) Osbourn of Burgin, KY; one sister, Ilene Gatwood of Glencoe, KY; Grandchildren, Caleb (Shannon) Hungate, Caitlin (A.C.) Thompson, Maegan Osbourn (John Rayburn), Jacob (Rachel) Osbourn, Grace Osbourn, Gentry Osbourn, Jackson Osbourn. Great Grandchildren: Mason Thompson, Rohan Thompson, Arthur Thompson, Cameron Rayburn, Natalie Rayburn, Emma Hungate. Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Fellowship Baptist Church, by Brother Lynn Releford. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, May 7at the Ransdell funeral Chapel, and after 10 am, Wed., at the church. Pallbearers will be: Stacy Osbourn, Eric Osbourn, Mark Osbourn, Caleb Hungate, Jake Osbourn and A.C. Thompson. Honorary bearers will be: Jackson Osbourn, Gentry Osbourn, Meagan Osbourn, Caitlin Thompson, Grace Osbourn and John Rayburn. Memorials are suggested to the Fellowship Bapitst Church Renovation Fund 481 Cornishville St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330, or to the Gideon Bible Fund, P.O. Box 176, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
