Obituary of Joyce Ingram

Lillian Joyce Adams Ingram, widow of Shirley Ingram, 90, Burgin, died Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Danville Center for Health and Rehabilitation. Joyce was born in Lincoln County on August 9, 1933, to the late Ira and Della (Keaton) Adams. She moved to Burgin in 1964 where she lived until recent years.
Joyce was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Danville where she worked in the children’s ministry throughout her adult life. She retired from Matsushita and loved gardening, reading, pets and sweets.
She is survived by: two sons: Mike (Ellen) Ingram and Brad (Scarlett) Ingram of Harrodsburg, she also has four grandchildren: John David (Carli) Ingram, Christy Ingram, Hannah Rena Ingram and Kellie (Austin) Cocanougher, and a great grandson Kash Daniel Cocanougher. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her siblings Ethel Rankin and Benjamin Franklin “BF” Adams.
Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday; May 23 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY, and will lead to the funeral service conducted by Andy Mikels and Scott Hurst at 7pm. Private burial will be at the Bluegrass Memorial Garden, Nicholasville.
Pallbearers will be: John Ingram, Austin Cocanougher, Mark Adams, Stuart Adams, Scotty Adams and Bruce Rankin. Honorary bearers will be: Christy Ingram, Hannah Ingram and Kellie Cocanougher.
Memorials are suggested to: Immanuel Baptist Church, 1280 Faulkner Lane, Danville, KY 40422 or Alzheimer's Association, 2808 Palumbo Dr # 205, Lexington, KY.
