Cora Ann Lewis, age 89, widow of Goldie Lewis, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, KY. Born June 21,1935 in Owenton, KY. She is the daughter of the late Norvin Lee and Viola C. (Thomas) Bourne. Cora was a teacher at Burgin Independent Schools, were she later retired. She was a member of Lawrenceburg Community Baptist Church and enjoyed playing all kinds of games, from cards to dice. She is survived by two daughters: Linda (Brian) Sherman of Gibsonton, FL and Charlotte Gail (J.D.) Whitis of Harrodsburg, KY; Daughter In Law Lynne Lewis; She also has four grandchildren: Krystina (Adam) Browning, Tyler Sherman, Richard Lewis and Nicole McCusker; six Great Grandchildren: Samuel Browning, Kaitlyn Browning, Ambria (Jesse) Odell, Dakota (Sevyn) Browning, Evy McCusker and Michael McCusker. She was predeceased in death by her son, Ricky Dale Lewis, twin brother Norvin (Alice) Bourne Jr., and two sisters, Jane (Floyd) Bryant and Louise (John) Holland. A graveside service will be held on Friday June 28, 2024 at 10am, Spring Hill Cemetery Pavilion, 529 N Greenville St, Harrodsburg, KY 40330, officiated by Brother Steve Broughton. Family has requested casual attire to be worn for graveside service. Memorials are suggested to be sent to Alzheimer’s Association, 2808 Palumbo Drive #205, Lexington KY, 40509.
