James “Jimmy” Carmickle, age 56, of Harrodsburg, KY, died Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Ephraim McDowell - James B Haggin Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born December 2, 1967 in Harrodsburg, KY, he is the son of Sandra Jean (Murphy) Carmickle and the late James Walter Carmickle. Jimmy was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a former Hitachi Mfg. employee. He enjoyed Tractor & Truck Pulls, Four Wheeling, Cattle Auctions, and spending time with his dog, Russell. Survivors include: his mother Sandra Jean “Sandy” (Murphy) Carmickle, Harrodsburg; four aunts, Phyllis Coffman, Betty Devine, Bette Smith, and Henrietta Goins; one uncle, Doodle Carmickle; several cousins. Funeral services 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY, with Terry Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Visitation 1-3 PM Wednesday, Ransdell’s. Pallbearers are Kendall Ross, Kyle Devine, David Coffman, Kenny Bottoms, Marty Lawson, Doug Releford, and Terry Phillips.
