Obituary of Wayne Anderson
Please share a memory of Wayne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edward Wayne Anderson, 78, of Stanford, KY drifted peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.
Wayne was born on November 28, 1945, in Preachersville, KY to the late Clarence and Nannie Mae (Gooch) Anderson. He was the youngest of five children born in the home.
He graduated from Crab Orchard High School. He was an electrician by trade and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 369. He later owned and operated Anderson Control Installation. His love of fishing and hunting later drove the passion in him to master the craft of gunsmithing. He enjoyedearly mornings with a good cup of coffee and a cigarette while overlooking the water. He adored all the pet dogs that he had throughout his lifetime and lived his last few years with his adored Little Man.
He attended Immanual Baptist Church in Boyle County. He was a member of Boyle County Fish and Game Club.
Through Wayne's first marriage to Lynn Goodwin Albanese, he was blessed with two children, aprecious daughter, Shelley and a son, Hunter who grew to be his best friend. He later met and married Patsye “Pat” AnnRose Murphy. When two families combine, they create a new definition of love. They were blended with an abundant amount of patience and an enormous amount of love, and it was beautiful. Wayne became a second father to Pat’s children, Kim and Rob. This new family was their most prized possession and one of their greatest achievements. Together they raised their children and were overly joyed to welcome their children’s spouses and the grandchildren that followed into the family fold.
Wayne is now reunited with his cherished wife, Pat. His parents Clarence and Nannie Mae. His siblings, David Anderson, Luanna Anderson Moody, Irene Anderson Bailey and Doris Anderson Spurlin.
His earthly absence leaves an immense void and tremendous hole in our hearts. We will endure a lifetime of missing him for the privilege of loving him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Shelley (Mark) Partridge,Hunter (Rhonda) Anderson, Kim(Cary) King, Rob (Sabrina) Murphy. His grandchildren, Whitley (Caleb) Ward, Garrett (Savannah) Anderson, Ian Partridge, Emma Partridge, Tia (John David) Taylor, Clayton (Heather) King, Cody Murphy, Logan Murphy, Trey (Emma) Murphy, Whitney Whited, and Jonathon Whited.
